Ben Carrigan

Ben Carrigan is a founding member of multi-platinum selling and award winning Irish pop group 'The Thrills.' The band celebrates 3 top 10 albums and 7 top 40 singles. They have also toured extensively worldwide and collaborated with some of the finest musicians on the planet.

More recently, however, as a graduate of the jazz and classical traditions, Ben has also been quickly gaining notoriety in Ireland, the UK and the USA for his work as a composer for film and television and for arrangements and orchestrations he has written for a number of other artists.

Ben's most recent project is a new album entitled The Greatest Narrators. The album was written, arranged, recorded and mixed by Ben himself with some additional guest performances from some of London and Dublin's finest musicians. It comprises a collection of beautifully crafted pop songs influenced by the likes of Carole King and Tom Waits but with the heady arrangements of Scott Walker. These songs are interwoven with a mix of stunning instrumental scores, soaring strings and a filmic sensibility. For the first time, 'The Greatest Narrators' celebrates Ben's fortitudes as a composer in the popular realm in his own right, as a multi-instrumentalist and as a solo artist. The album is OUT NOW and is available through iTunes and all good record stores.
